About us

Founders George van der Vlugt and Saskia Gruijters share a long history in Malaga real estate development. 

George first came to Malaga as a young boy in the 1960’s with his father, who was an investor, developer and entrepreneur in Torremolinos. What started as a childhood playground became a professional interest over time. By 1997 George had founded his own development company in Spain specialised in developing luxury residential and commercial real estate along the Costa del Sol.

25 years later, the focus has evolved to a varied portfolio of developments – including villas, townhouses, a hotel and city center apartments. 

Saskia arrived in Malaga in 2004 as a young and motivated entrepreneur – and first gained affinity with real estate through her boutique mortgages and insurance company. She assisted clients in their search and procedures of finding a home in Spain.

Over time, her interests evolved to the actual investment and development of real estate. As a long time resident of Malaga, she has a keen understanding and apprection for the city and her residents. And her commitment is to contributing to the city’s revival and tranformation to a true global hub.

Our mission to Make Malaga Great is very clear.

Everyone who walks through the city of Malaga can´t ignore the empty commercial premises which appear in almost every street of the city. In the secondary streets you might find several shops next to each other closed. Some of those have never been opened, some have had regular turnovers. Vacant and abundant properties are linked to increased rates of crime and declining property values. Despite local reactivation campaigns to attract new the businesses, one out of 5 commercial premises have been closed during Covid19 and risk to remain shut down due to a growing online shopping behavior.

Converting vacant and abundant commercial premises into residential properties is the solution for this structural problem. It creates immediate value on the streets and improves the local ambience. Unusual shapes and spaces of commercial premises seem initially a challenge for the habitability but it can create unexpected, amazing residential potentialities and therefore the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into a building.

Our goal is to improve the street image and creating a living environment which enhances unique residential spaces for different type of audience.
